FM Printing
Rich reds, brilliant blues, and vivid violets challenge old fashioned printing companies whose smaller press capacity forces students to submit in as many as five deadlines per year. How do they deliver identical color settings from one signature to another? Advisers tell us they simply don't. Color consistency matters. It's a hallmark of our press operators.
Only frequency·modulated (FM) screening meets our standard, and only we bring this to the pages of every one of our Smyth sewn books. FM screening uses small, fixed dots to reveal unparalleled detail and smoothness in photographs. Darker hues summon more dots, while lighter hues call for fewer.
